Why are we implementing membership dues?
The purpose of membership dues is to strengthen our kalpulli’s self-sustainability and ensure that it can thrive without relying solely on outside funding. Dues represent a commitment to collective responsibility and interdependence in times of societal division and isolation. Whether through money or service, each contribution helps sustain our ceremonies, learning spaces, and traditions that root us in community. Every member’s offering, no matter the form, becomes part of the collective strength and longevity of our circle.
What if I can’t afford dues?
Members who need financial assistance are invited to apply for the Membership Waiver. In alignment with our commitment to accessibility, reciprocity, and care, this waiver exists to support community members for whom membership dues may be a barrier, ensuring that financial circumstances do not prevent participation in our shared work and ancestral practice.
